About TIMUCUAN PARKS FOUNDATION INC

Timucuan Parks Foundation (TPF) is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit friend-organization for more than two dozen national, state, and city parks and preserves across the Greater Jacksonville area. TPF partners with the National Park Service, Florida State Parks, and the City of Jacksonville to fund restoration projects, run volunteer stewardship programs, and provide public education and outdoor access.

Through volunteer programs, youth education, healthy-living initiatives, events, and grantmaking, the foundation connects residents and historically underrepresented communities to Jacksonville’s wilderness parks. Recent activity includes an annual impact report (2025) documenting volunteer contributions, program participation, and funding support to park partners, plus community-facing events such as the 7 Creeks Fest and multi-park hiking programs.

Notable achievements

Volunteer Stewardship Scale (2025)

In 2025 TPF mobilized 675 volunteers who contributed 6,431 hours supporting trail work, invasive species removal, cleanups, and other stewardship projects across its partner parks and preserves.

Community Access & Programming

TPF facilitated outdoor access and programming for thousands of residents—reporting facilitation of 4,676 community members through recreation and stewardship activities at 51 parks and preserves (2025 impact data).

7 Creeks Recreation Area Partnership

TPF played a leading role in establishing and promoting the 7 Creeks Recreation Area, a contiguous multi-park network that expanded recreational and conservation opportunities across more than 5,600 acres of land and waterways.
