About CATHEDRAL ARTS PROJECT INC
Cathedral Arts Project (CAP) is a Jacksonville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1993 that provides standards-based visual and performing arts instruction and therapeutic arts services to children and young adults across Northeast Florida. CAP operates afterschool and in-school programs, specialized therapeutic services (including music therapy, sensory art and art counseling), arts-integration partnerships, and Emerging Artist Programs, and has built a full-time Teaching Artist Fellowship model to increase program depth and consistency.
In recent years CAP has scaled fundraising and programmatic efforts through its REIMAGINE campaign (a multi-year capital and growth initiative launched in 2019) and its signature Spring for the Arts fundraising events. CAP reports historic reach of tens of thousands of youth served since its founding and has publicly documented major fundraising and program milestones in 2024–2026 as part of its expansion strategy.

REIMAGINE campaign progress
A multi-year REIMAGINE campaign to expand CAP’s Teaching Artist Fellowship model and Emerging Artist Programs reached a major milestone in 2026 when CAP announced it had achieved an initial $21 million toward an overall $26 million goal to be completed by summer 2026, enabling expansion of full-time teaching artists and increased student reach.
Record fundraising at Spring for the Arts (2025–2026)
CAP’s signature Spring for the Arts fundraisers generated significant support in consecutive years: the event raised a record $837,100 in 2025 (April 2025) and raised $764,408 at the April 17, 2026 celebration, funding program expansion and the REIMAGINE campaign.
Programmatic expansion and inclusive services
CAP has broadened its program offerings in the last 2–3 years to include expanded Emerging Artist Programs, arts-for-all services (music therapy, sensory art and art counseling), and strengthened school partnerships and advocacy work (Any Given Child Jacksonville and local arts-education initiatives) to increase access and deepen outcomes for students.
