About INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LAW SCHOOLS
The International Association of Law Schools (IALS) is an international learned society and membership association of law schools and law faculties. Incorporated in 2005, it brings together law schools from across the globe to develop shared principles, improve curricula, and foster collaboration among legal educators. IALS represents an international network of law schools and faculty — the association reports more than 250 member law schools and departments from over 60 countries, representing over 12,000 law faculty members — and conducts annual meetings, regional fora, doctrinal study groups, and programs to advance legal education. In recent years IALS has run its Annual Meeting and the Global Law Deans’ Forum (including meetings in 2023–2025) and continues to schedule 2026 forums and its September 2026 Annual Meeting, demonstrating ongoing, active programming.
