About MENINAK FOUNDATION OF JACKSONVILLE

The Meninak Foundation of Jacksonville is the endowed philanthropic arm of the Meninak Club of Jacksonville. Guided by a board of trustees composed of past club presidents, the Foundation manages a corpus used to fund an annual Charity Project, leadership scholarships, and local youth-focused capital improvements. The Foundation focuses on awarding capital-improvement grants to youth-serving nonprofits and on awarding Meninak Leadership Scholarships to graduating seniors who complete the Youth Leadership Jacksonville program. In recent years the Foundation has continued regular grantmaking and scholarship awards to strengthen local services for children and teens.

Century-plus of community giving

The Meninak organization has given to youth-serving causes for over 100 years and the Foundation has directed a substantial corpus to charitable grants and projects across Jacksonville.

Meninak Leadership Scholarships

Since 1997 the Foundation awards Meninak Leadership Grants—annual scholarships (five recipients per year historically) to graduates of the Youth Leadership Jacksonville program to support higher education.

Annual Charity Project grants

The Foundation funds a marquee annual Charity Project—capital-improvement grants for local youth nonprofits. Recent projects include support for facilities and program upgrades such as pediatric audiology, classroom renovations, accessibility upgrades, and similar capital needs.
