About THE ARC JACKSONVILLE INC

The Arc Jacksonville is a Jacksonville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit chapter of The Arc network founded in 1965 to expand community-based opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental differences. Over six decades the organization has grown into a multi-program provider offering supported living, post-secondary transition and career training, employment services, enrichment and aging supports. The agency operates specialized education and vocational programs (including the On Campus Transition program at the University of North Florida and the Career Campus in partnership with Florida State College at Jacksonville), operates The Arc Jacksonville Village independent-living community, and runs certificate and internship pathways (for example the PAWS Professional Animal Workers certificate) that have produced measurable employment outcomes for participants. The Arc Jacksonville serves hundreds of people daily and continues to expand community partnerships and vocational pathways to increase independence and inclusion for people with disabilities.
