About ADVENTURE THERAPY FOUNDATION INC

Adventure Therapy Foundation, founded by Lauren Huffmaster in 2018, focuses specifically on the emotional side effects of cancer (fear, isolation and broken identity) rather than only the physical aspects. The organization uses outdoor experiences, retreats, year-long Kinship groups, coaching and digital content to help people impacted by cancer rebuild identity and connection.

Programs include in-person retreats, local events and year-long Kinship Groups tailored to shared life experiences, plus virtual offerings (the RISE coaching platform), a podcast and a founder-authored book to extend reach. In recent years the charity has expanded its virtual programming and published resources to grow access and engagement; the organization reports having helped hundreds of individuals and families through its programming.
