About The Center for the Advancement of Languages, Education and Communities, Inc.

The Center for the Advancement of Languages, Education and Communities (CALEC) is a New York–based nonprofit organization focused on promoting multilingualism, publishing educational resources, and supporting the development of bilingual/dual-language programs. CALEC operates a publishing arm (TBR Books), produces educational programming and events, and partners with schools, educators, and cultural institutions to expand access to language learning and heritage-language preservation.

CALEC maintains an active public presence through books, conferences, fairs, a podcast (Révolution Bilingue), and annual reports. The organization works internationally (with ties to Paris and other francophone institutions) and engages parents, teachers, and policymakers to make language education a core part of equitable schooling and community development.
