NORTH BAY HOUSING COALITION

North Bay Housing Coalition (NBHC) is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on increasing housing options and housing stability for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The organization operates direct housing programs and a statewide pooled special-needs trust, and it provides housing search, placement and retention supports tailored to individuals on public benefits. NBHC established the Golden State Pooled Trust (GSPT) in 2004 to preserve benefits eligibility while managing funds for supplemental needs; the pooled trust has grown substantially and is a core program of the organization. NBHC also develops and partners on set-aside and shared housing units and participates in local and regional housing planning to improve access for persons with disabilities. NBHC has operated for multiple decades (tax-exempt status since July 1993) and continues to report active program delivery and financial scale consistent with managing both housing projects and trust assets; its most recent filings show organizational revenues and asset levels in the seven-figure / low-tens-of-millions range and continued service to several hundred pooled-trust beneficiaries in the last 2–3 years (fiscal reporting through 2023–2024).
