About OAKLAND STATE BUILDING KIDS CORPORATION

Oakland State Building Kids Corporation (OSBKC) is the nonprofit operator of Bright Future Early Learning Center, a licensed early care and education program located in the Elihu M. Harris State Building in downtown Oakland. The center serves infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children (approximately 3 months through start of kindergarten) and emphasizes play-based, developmentally appropriate learning and family partnership. OSBKC was incorporated in 2004 and successfully established the Bright Future program in the state building in 2006; administration of the center was brought in-house by OSBKC in 2017. In recent years the organization has maintained active, up-to-date federal Form 990 filings (most recent fiscal year ending June 2024) and continues day-to-day operations, staffing, and enrichment programming (music, yoga, gardening, field trips) for a stable cohort of enrolled children.
