About JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS INC

Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas (JASET) is the local Junior Achievement affiliate serving the Greater Houston region. It delivers K–12 experiential programs—such as JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, and 3DE by JA—through partnerships with schools, volunteers, and regional employers.

JASET operates administrative offices and learning-experience facilities locally and works with corporate partners and volunteers to scale hands-on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career-readiness programming for students across school districts in Southeast Texas.

Notable achievements

Phillips 66 $5M gift to build JA Discovery Center

In 2023 Phillips 66 made a lead $5 million donation to support the development of a new JA Discovery Center and expanded learning facility, enabling larger-scale, technology-enabled experiential programming and replacement/upgrade of existing BizTown/Finance Park spaces.

Large-scale student reach and instructional hours

In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, volunteers instructed 5,007 classes delivering 1,262,108 instructional hours and reaching 112,692 students, demonstrating significant scale in local program delivery.

Expansion of 3DE and district partnerships

JASET expanded implementation of the 3DE by JA high-school model in partnership with local school districts and businesses to provide sustained, real-world case challenges that connect academics to workplace skills.
