About CAREER AND RECOVERY RESOURCES INC

Career and Recovery Resources, Inc. (CRR) is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1945 that provides workforce development, outpatient recovery supports, housing navigation, and transitional employment for people facing high barriers to stability. CRR operates job-readiness and certification programs, a social-enterprise transitional employment arm (UpRise Enterprise), outpatient substance use disorder services, and housing-support services targeted to people exiting the criminal justice system, veterans, youth, and other high-barrier, low-income Houstonians.

In the last several years CRR has expanded program and funding partnerships with local government and regional funders, operated social-enterprise contracts that create paid transitional jobs, and administered federally- and locally-funded projects that combine employment training with substance-use and housing supports to move participants toward sustained employment and stable housing.
