Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston (RMHC Greater Houston) operates a network of family lodgings, hospital family lounges, a pediatric Care Mobile, and meal and hospitality programs to support families while their children receive medical care. The organization’s footprint includes Holcombe House (flagship), Ronald McDonald Houses inside Texas Children’s Hospital, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, and MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital, plus hospital lounges and outreach services. In January 2024 the local RMHC entities consolidated under the name RMHC Greater Houston to increase capacity and coordinate programs across Greater Houston. The chapter provides wrap-around supports — lodging, meals (JoyFULL Eats), social work and education services, daily transportation, and mobile pediatric clinics — to families during pediatric medical crises, and publishes audited financials and annual reports summarizing impact and stewardship each year.

Strategic Merger (2024)
In January 2024 Ronald McDonald House Houston and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Houston/Galveston formally merged to form RMHC Greater Houston, combining staff, programs and resources to expand services into more communities across the region.
Holcombe House Expansion & Renovation
Completed a multi‑phase multi‑million dollar renovation and expansion of Holcombe House that increased capacity and modernized family spaces, enabling the flagship location to better serve families visiting the Texas Medical Center.
2023 Impact Milestones
In 2023 RMHC Greater Houston reported serving 33,500+ families overall, supporting 31,000+ overnight family stays across its Houses and operating 15 hospital lounges; the JoyFULL Eats meal program delivered tens of thousands of catered meals and hundreds of thousands of grab-and-go servings that year.
