About THE BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS, INC.

The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc. (TBOTW) is a Pasadena, Texas–based nonprofit (tax-exempt since 1978) that provides crisis intervention, emergency shelter, housing, counseling, and supportive services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children. The agency operates a 24/7 crisis hotline, an emergency shelter at its Pasadena location, a Baytown office, licensed on-site childcare, therapy and case management, prevention and community-education programming, and legal/hospital/court accompaniment. In recent years TBOTW has continued to publish audited financial statements and annual reports through FY2024, maintained shelter and hotline operations that serve hundreds of clients and children annually, and sustained state and federal grant-funded programs (including partnerships with the Texas Council on Family Violence and other regional funders) to expand high-risk team interventions, transitional housing, and client support services. The organization focuses on trauma-informed, bilingual service delivery and community prevention across east and southeast Harris County.
