About EPILEPSY FOUNDATION OF TEXAS

The Epilepsy Foundation of Texas (EFTX) is a statewide, donor-facing 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Houston that provides medical clinics, education, advocacy, camps, and community supports for people living with epilepsy and their families across Texas. Since 1983 the organization has expanded services across Southeast, North, and West Texas and reports serving well over 100 counties through in-person programs, statewide education and mobile clinic outreach. EFTX operates free and low-cost specialty epilepsy clinics, a medication assistance and care-navigation program, seizure-first-aid training, mental wellness supports, and camps for children and teens. In recent years the organization has focused on expanding access to neurologic care by launching a mobile epilepsy clinic (starting in Houston) and by partnering with state agencies and clinical advisers to reach underserved communities. EFTX is actively fundraising and operating donor-facing programs (community walks, camps, educational events), files Form 990s as a public charity, and maintains a public website and active organizational leadership and staff serving the Texas epilepsy community.
