About INSIDE THE ORCHESTRA
Inside the Orchestra is a professional 501(c)(3) organization that creates playful, immersive orchestral programs designed primarily for young children and families across the Denver metro area. Their flagship Tiny Tots concerts place young listeners physically inside a 30+ piece orchestra and use developmentally appropriate storytelling and activities to introduce musical concepts.
In recent years the organization has expanded its digital and school-facing offerings — publishing a Virtual Resources Hub with on-demand performances, lesson plans, games and trilingual materials — and continuing in-school field trips and outreach to make orchestra music more accessible and inclusive.
Programs emphasize accessibility, equity, and inclusion (including sensory-friendly adaptations and bilingual/trilingual materials), and the organization partners with local schools, libraries, foundations, and community funders to increase access to live and virtual orchestral experiences for children.
