About HIGH COUNTRY BASSET HOUND RESCUE AND ADOPTION SERVICE, INC.
Founded in 1981 and incorporated in Colorado in 1982, High Country Basset Hound Rescue (HCBHR) operates as a 100% foster-based, all-volunteer rescue focused exclusively on Basset Hounds and Basset mixes.
HCBHR provides intake and shelter diversion, medical screening and treatment (vaccinations, testing, spay/neuter and necessary surgeries), foster placement, adopter screening and lifelong placement support; it also organizes community fundraising and outreach events to support operations.
