About COLORADO YOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRAS ASSOCIATION

Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestras (CYSO) is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) youth orchestra organization that provides ensemble instruction, auditions-based ensembles, outreach, and supplemental music programs for students from elementary through college. The organization has operated since the mid-1980s and maintains a multi-ensemble structure (beginner through advanced) and partnerships with local professional musicians.

In recent seasons (2023–2025) CYSO has continued to expand its Mile High Strings outreach in Title I schools (serving hundreds of students), kept scholarship assistance available for qualifying families, and run its core ensembles and seasonal programs; registration and auditions for the 2025–2026 season are open and CYSO’s Fall 2025 concert is scheduled for November 23, 2025.

CYSO emphasizes accessibility and community impact through tuition assistance, school-based outreach, collaborations with professional artists, and summer/supplemental offerings (chamber camp, bootcamps and preparatory classes) designed to develop technical skills and performance experience.
