About Vail Health Services Foundation (doing business as Vail Health Foundation)
Vail Health Services Foundation is the philanthropic arm supporting Vail Health, Eagle Valley Behavioral Health and affiliated partner programs in Eagle and Summit counties. It is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 74-2505662) that raises and stewards charitable gifts for hospital capital, patient programs, and community health initiatives.
In recent years the Foundation has focused on behavioral health expansion, cancer survivorship services and sustaining emergency and specialty care in the mountain region. Fiscal year 2024 totals and program metrics reflect active fundraising and grantmaking to support these priorities.
Notable achievements
FY2024 fundraising total
Raised $20,570,876 in fiscal year 2024 and distributed $9,669,825 in grants and program support during that fiscal year to Vail Health programs and partners.
Behavioral health expansion
Supported a major expansion of behavioral health services including the Wiegers outpatient programs and the Precourt Healing Center, a new inpatient behavioral health facility that began welcoming patients in May 2025.
Survivorship program impact
Sustained Shaw Cancer Center’s Spirit of Survival and related services, with the Foundation reporting thousands of patient interactions and tens of thousands of unique behavioral health sessions in recent reporting years (example program metrics reported for FY2024).
