ADVISORY BOARD BOOKER T WASHINGTON H S FOR PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTS

The Advisory Board of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Dallas, Texas that raises funds, administers grants, and supports programmatic work that benefits Booker T. Washington HSPVA students and faculty. In the last 2–3 years the board has continued annual grantmaking and program support (including faculty enrichment grants, student scholarships, paid summer internships, masterclasses, and guest-artist residencies) and has produced the school’s signature fundraising events such as Flyinghorse. The organization has partnered with local arts institutions and visiting artists to expand conservatory-level opportunities for students. The organization is a tax-exempt public charity (tax-exempt since 2003) with recent Form 990s showing active fundraising and operating activity, and maintains an active online presence and application programs for faculty and student support.
