About THE FOUNDATION FOR HOPE VILLAGE

The Foundation for Hope Village is a nonprofit organization based in Friendswood, Texas, that operates Hope Village — a residential living and day-program community serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1970. Hope Village provides five independent residential homes and a weekday Developmental Center that offers education, job training, work activities (including a ceramic shop and computer lab), and social/recreational programming designed to promote independence, community engagement, and lifelong support.

Operates five independent residences and a Developmental Center that provides daily education, vocational training, and work-activity opportunities (ceramics, computer lab, café and other programs) to promote skill-building and community participation.

Sustained private funding model

Maintains a mixed funding model of tuition, endowment income and annual donations to subsidize care; the organization reports subsidizing a substantial portion of each resident’s annual cost to keep services affordable for families.
