About ABILITY CONNECTION TEXAS

Ability Connection Texas (founded 1953) is a longstanding 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides a full range of services to people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities and their families across Texas. The organization operates a mix of adult and youth programs including case management and Medicaid waiver services (HCS, CLASS, TxHML), residential supports, training and therapy services, transportation, and specialized youth camps and respite. Ability Connection serves more than 1,000 Texans through direct services and community-based supports and has expanded its facilities and program capacity in recent years. Longstanding statewide service

Founded in 1953 (originally UCP of Dallas County), Ability Connection has built more than six decades of program history providing therapies, residential care, case management and community supports to people with disabilities across North Texas.

Expanded Training Center & headquarters (2023)

In 2023 Ability Connection relocated and expanded its Training Center and headquarters into a larger Las Colinas/Irving facility to increase member services and program capacity.
