About CHILD STUDY CENTER
Child Study Center is a long-standing nonprofit program based in Fort Worth that delivers interdisciplinary diagnostic, clinical and educational services for children with developmental, learning and behavioral disabilities. Services include developmental pediatrics, developmental psychology, applied behavior analysis (ABA), speech and language supports, and the Jane Justin School for students who require specialized education. The Child Study Center operates as part of the Cook Children’s clinical and institutional structure while maintaining its own nonprofit filings and Form 990 history; it runs the Jane Justin School (ages roughly 3–21) and coordinates clinical-to-education pathways that combine medical care, behavioral therapy and individualized instruction. The center emphasizes small class sizes, individualized instruction, and collaboration across medical, behavioral and education teams. In recent years the organization has continued program growth and capital improvements: the Developmental Pediatrics service relocated into expanded specialty clinic space in October 2023, the Jane Justin School reported its largest enrollment in FY2024 (fiscal year ending September 2024) and provided educational services for approximately 100 unduplicated students in FY2024, and the center has expanded partnerships within Cook Children’s to develop job-training and transitional employment opportunities for students (including the first placement in Fall 2024).
