FORT WORTH ART ASSOCIATION
The Fort Worth Art Association (dba the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth) is dedicated to collecting, presenting, and interpreting international developments in post–World War II art in all media and to creating a welcoming environment for public appreciation through exhibitions, curatorial research, publications, and education programs.
About FORT WORTH ART ASSOCIATION
Fort Worth Art Association is the legal nonprofit that operates the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth (commonly called the Modern). The institution holds a major collection of modern and contemporary international art—primarily works dated from 1945 to the present—and presents rotating special exhibitions, publications, films, and public programs. The museum occupies a celebrated Tadao Ando–designed building in Fort Worth’s Cultural District and offers a broad slate of education and community programs (lectures, guided tours, classes, workshops, and family activities) for the general public. In addition to exhibitions, the organization manages a museum shop and a signature restaurant and runs curatorial, conservation, and outreach activities that support scholarship and public access to its collection. The organization maintains nonprofit status and active donor-facing operations, including membership and giving programs, regular major exhibitions (national and international loans and organizing exhibitions), and continuing investments in education and community engagement.
