About Dallas Fort Worth Business Council Inc

Dallas Fort Worth Business Council Inc (operating as DFW Business Council and historically known as the Dallas Fort Worth Minority Supplier Development Council) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that certifies, develops, and connects minority- and women-owned businesses across the North Texas region. The organization runs certification programs, capacity-building training, accelerator cohorts, and regional procurement events to increase supplier diversity and help certified firms win contracts with corporations and public agencies.

In recent years the Council has published an annual economic impact report and expanded programming — including accelerator cohorts and the ACCESS business expos — to deliver measurable referrals, bids, and networking opportunities for certified firms. 2024 Economic Impact Report

Published a comprehensive 2024 economic impact report documenting thousands of training participants, hundreds of events and appointments, and thousands of bids/referrals disseminated to certified firms.

Capacity-building and accelerator outcomes

Launched and graduated the first cohort of the Dallas Accelerator Program (DAPPERS) and continues to run the ACCESS Business Expo and related development curricula to prepare minority- and women-owned firms for public and corporate contracting.
