MAURICE BARNETT GERIATRIC WELLNESS CENTER INC

Maurice Barnett Geriatric Wellness Center, doing business as the Wellness Center for Older Adults (WCOA), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving older adults (55+) and their caregivers in Collin County, Texas. It operates preventive health services, counseling, and social-service programs designed to support seniors aging in place. The organization provides in-person programs at community and senior centers (including the Sam Johnson Recreation Center) and countywide outreach, with regular offerings such as blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, toenail care, durable medical equipment loans, caregiver counseling, Memory Cafe, and social/support groups. In recent years (2023–2025) WCOA has continued active program delivery and community engagement — including an annual Community Resource Fair with corporate and local sponsors — and filed publicly available Form 990s reporting organizational financial activity and growth through fiscal year 2022.
