About NORTH DALLAS SHARED MINISTRIES INC (dba Now-Forward)

Now-Forward (formerly North Dallas Shared Ministries) is a Dallas-based, interfaith nonprofit that provides real-time assistance to low-income residents across a multi-zip-code service area. Services include a food pantry, clothing closet, rent and utility assistance, medical and dental clinics, mental health counseling, ESL classes, school supplies/uniforms, and free tax-preparation. Founded by a coalition of congregations in 1983, the organization partners with more than 50 faith communities and local providers to deliver coordinated, volunteer-driven direct services. In 2024–2025 Now-Forward reported large-scale impact across food, health, housing support and tax-prep programs and completed a strategic rebrand from North Dallas Shared Ministries to Now-Forward to reflect its forward-looking service model.
