The Plano Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is a community-based, professional symphony organization founded in 1983 that presents a full season of orchestral programming for North Texas. The organization produces subscription concerts, family and educational series, holiday traditions, pop-themed performances, and community events that serve a broad regional audience. In recent years PSO has continued and expanded its education and outreach work—offering family concerts, school partnerships, youth-focused programming, and interactive pre-concert activities—while maintaining a regular season at area performing venues. The organization remains an active grant recipient and community partner, performing at local festivals and collaborating with school choirs and youth ensembles.
