About COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF THE DALLAS REGION

Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region (CIS Dallas) is a school-based nonprofit that places site coordinators and clinical staff inside K–12 campuses to deliver case management, mental health supports, academic assistance, family engagement and schoolwide programming designed to reduce dropout risk. The organization partners with local school districts to identify and support students facing attendance, behavioral, academic and basic-needs barriers.

In the 2024–25 school year CIS Dallas served nearly 9,005 unduplicated students and reported that 83% improved academically, 57% improved attendance, 75% improved behavior, 99% were promoted to the next grade, and 97% of seniors graduated.

CIS Dallas celebrated four decades of student support and community partnerships in 2025, marking sustained, long-term service to Dallas-area schools and communities.
