About COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT CENTER INC

Community Enrichment Center (CEC) is a long-established 501(c)(3) human services organization based in North Richland Hills / Fort Worth, Texas. Founded in the late 1980s, CEC operates a large food pantry, affordable housing portfolio, and bundled family-stability services to help struggling families move toward self-sufficiency. CEC serves Tarrant County and surrounding counties, offering food assistance, rent and utility support, benefits counseling, employment/financial coaching, VITA tax help, senior services, and child & adolescent programming. In recent years the organization has scaled operations to deliver food, housing supports, and case-managed services to tens of thousands of local residents annually.

Notable achievements

In fiscal 2023 the Community Outreach/Food Pantry program distributed approximately 2,146,518 pounds of food and provided assistance to about 29,653 families, making it one of the largest food pantry operations in Tarrant County.

Housing & homelessness supports

CEC operates an affordable housing portfolio (three multi-family communities and several single-family homes) and in 2023 its housing programs served dozens of families and hundreds of individuals (housing programs reported serving 30 families and 466 individuals facing homelessness, family violence, or low income).

Bundled case-management services

CEC provides integrated, bundled services — including employment and financial coaching, emergency assistance, and resource referrals — reaching hundreds of participants (employment/education coaching served roughly 161 participants in recent filings) to promote financial stability and independence.
