About WOMENS COUNCIL OF THE DALLAS ARBORETUM & BOTANICAL GARDEN

The Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden (WCDABG) is a Texas-based 501(c)(3) membership organization founded to raise funds and awareness for the Dallas Arboretum and to create and sustain A Woman’s Garden. The Council is volunteer-led and advances its mission through member programs, donor naming, and fundraising events.

The Council conceived, funded and endowed A Woman’s Garden (Phase I opened in 1997; Phase II opened in 2006) and continues to maintain and enhance that planted space through an established endowment and ongoing contributions. The organization publishes regular newsletters and runs annual signature events (for example Mad Hatter’s Tea and A Writer’s Garden) and recent activities into 2024–2026 demonstrate continued, active programming and stewardship.

WCDABG files annual Form 990s and operates as an acknowledged partner of the Dallas Arboretum; the Council reports an active membership base and uses event-driven fundraising and donor-naming opportunities to support garden maintenance, improvements, and endowment growth.
