About COMMUNITY LIFELINE CENTER INC

Community Lifeline Center (CLC), founded in 1989 and based in McKinney, Texas, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides food assistance, emergency financial help (rent and utility support), and related referral services to residents of north Collin County. The organization operates a client-choice grocery-style food pantry, mobile food distributions, and a financial assistance program designed to prevent homelessness and help families regain stability.

In the last 2–3 years CLC expanded its food pantry facilities and scaled service delivery in response to rising local need: it reports substantial food distribution and financial-assistance totals for 2023–2025 and has actively partnered with grocery donors, the North Texas Food Bank network and local businesses to increase capacity. The organization has continued to refine its One Month Away emergency assistance processes to address surges in applications and to prioritize efficient, person-centered service delivery.

Notable achievements

Food pantry expansion (May 2025)

Large-scale service delivery (2023–2024)

Reported serving over 100,000 people in 2024 and dramatically increased distributions since 2023, delivering hundreds of tons of food and tens of thousands of meals through pantry, mobile and satellite programs.

Significant emergency financial assistance

Distributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in rent and utility assistance since 2023 through its One Month Away program to help residents avoid housing loss and stabilize households.
