About DALLAS MISSION FOR LIFE INC

Dallas Mission for Life, doing business as Dallas LIFE, is a long-standing Dallas-based nonprofit shelter and recovery organization serving homeless men, women, children and families. The organization operates a large residential campus and integrated service model offering meals, shelter, addiction recovery, medical and dental care, child development and job-readiness services. In the last 2–3 years Dallas LIFE has expanded and promoted programs focused on children and families (including a Child Development Center and the nationwide 'Teddy Cares' initiative launched in 2024), continued year-round meal and shelter operations, and highlighted graduate success stories from its recovery programs. Dallas LIFE maintains public nonprofit filings and active fundraising and grant relationships to support operations and program growth.

Provides on-site food services that prepare and serve approximately 1,000–1,200 meals per day, supported by a remodeled kitchen, volunteers and workforce development opportunities for residents.

Child-focused program expansion (Teddy Cares)

Developed and launched the 'Teddy Cares' initiative (2024) and related child adjustment supports to reduce trauma for children living in shelter and to provide specialized programming through the Child Development Center.
