Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County, Inc.

Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County is a privately funded, donor-facing 501(c)(3) nonprofit that coordinates multidisciplinary response, investigation, treatment, and prevention services for children victimized by abuse. The Center uses a child-focused, trauma-informed model that houses law enforcement, Child Protective Services, medical and mental-health professionals, family advocates, and forensic interviewers under one roof to minimize trauma and improve outcomes. In recent years the organization has expanded capacity: the Speese Campus in McKinney opened in 2022, creating a two-campus model (Los Rios in Plano and the Speese Campus) to better serve northern Collin County. In fiscal year 2022–23 the Center reported serving thousands of clients (4,616 total clients) and delivering a high volume of coordinated services (28,977 total services), including a reported ~20% increase in services in the northern part of the county after the new campus opened. Founded as a Junior League project when it opened in Plano in 1992, the Center has grown into a long-standing local institution providing free, ongoing services to children and non-offending family members and running community education and prevention programs alongside its direct-care work.
