Mission

NCTRCA certifies businesses to build a robust vendor pool for member organizations while providing education and opportunities for certified businesses. The agency ensures that DBEs, ACDBEs, MBEs, WBEs, SBEs and SBECs have the maximum practical opportunity to participate in contracting and procurement activities with its public-entity members.

About NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS REGIONAL CERTIFICATION AGENCY

The North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (NCTRCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit regional certification authority based in Arlington, Texas that centralizes certification for disadvantaged, minority, women and small business enterprises to increase access to public and institutional procurement in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. NCTRCA performs eligibility verification and issues DBE, ACDBE, MBE, WBE, SBE, SBE-PLUS and SBEC certifications for its member entities, and provides training, outreach, and bid-opportunity connections.

Founded via an interlocal agreement in 1989 and incorporated in 1992, NCTRCA has reviewed over 22,000 certification applications since inception and serves more than 20 public-member organizations (including airports, cities, counties, school districts and transit agencies) that rely on its certification reciprocity and vendor pool. Recent organizational activity includes responding to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s DBE/ACDBE rule changes effective May 9, 2024, ongoing member bid-opportunity listings, an active events and outreach calendar, and leadership transition with a recently announced executive director.
