About COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF GREATER TARRANT COUNTY INC

Communities in Schools of Greater Tarrant County (CISGTC) is a school‑based nonprofit that places licensed social workers and student support staff inside K–12 schools across Tarrant County to address students' nonacademic barriers to learning, including basic needs, social‑emotional supports, and mental‑health services. In recent years CISGTC has expanded its community footprint with a capital campaign and a permanent Center for Student Support in Westworth Village, extended partnerships with local school districts (including Fort Worth ISD), and ongoing program evaluation of outcomes by education partners and state reviewers.

Center for Student Support opened

Launched and opened a dedicated Center for Student Support in Westworth Village as a hub for counseling, training, and basic‑needs services to expand access to mental‑health care and family resources.
