About TEXAS LAWYERS FOR CHILDREN

Texas Lawyers for Children (TLC) is a longtime Texas nonprofit program (operating under the Child Protection Connection) that supports judges, attorneys, and other child‑welfare professionals to protect abused and neglected children through improved legal representation, trauma‑informed practice, and system reform. TLC operates an interactive Online Legal Resource & Communication Center, provides trauma‑informed training and CLE/CJE for judges and attorneys, maintains a statewide pro bono attorney network, and develops practice resources and advocacy (including recent amicus activity and statewide webinars). In the last several years TLC has continued producing practitioner resources and trainings (including statewide webinars and new resources for youth aging out of foster care) and reports training over 1,000 judges, attorneys, CASAs and other professionals across more than 200 Texas counties to date.
