About THE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF TARRANT COUNTY

The Development Corporation of Tarrant County (DCTC) is a community housing development organization (CHDO) and 501(c)(3) nonprofit that develops, owns, and operates affordable single-family and multifamily housing with an emphasis on Tarrant County and the Cities of Fort Worth and Arlington.

DCTC works in partnership with local governments, housing finance entities, and private developers to deliver workforce and senior housing, provide down-payment and closing-cost assistance for eligible homebuyers, and act as general partner or general contractor on projects to lower development costs. Recent activity includes completion and management of multiple multifamily communities and the publication of audited financials and Form 990s on its website.

CHDO Certification

Holds Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) designation for Tarrant County and CHDO recognition with the Cities of Fort Worth and Arlington, enabling access to federal/state/local affordable housing resources.

Major Multifamily Developments

Developed and brought online multiple affordable multifamily properties including Sansom Ridge (100 units) and the larger Sansom Bluff project (approximately 296 units), with the majority of units income-restricted for households at or below 60% AMI.

Homebuyer & Rental Programs

Operates single-family homeownership programs (including down-payment and closing-cost assistance in partnership with local jurisdictions) and manages a portfolio of rental and senior housing communities to expand workforce and senior housing options.
