About ELLIS COUNTY COALITION FOR HEALTH OPTIONS

Ellis County Coalition for Health Options (doing business as Hope Health) is a faith-based, not-for-profit Federally Qualified Health Center that provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care, dental, and behavioral health services regardless of a patient's ability to pay. The organization was founded to expand access for uninsured and low-income residents of Ellis County and operates community clinics in Waxahachie and Ennis.

Hope Health offers adult and pediatric primary care, women’s health, dental restoration and preventive dentistry, behavioral health assessment and treatment (including play therapy for children), and enrollment assistance for public benefits. In fiscal year 2024 the organization reported $9.5M in revenue and delivered a high volume of care (25,957 medical encounters reported that year), serving primarily low-income and indigent populations in the county.

In recent years Hope Health has continued to strengthen its clinical capacity through federal funding and program development: it maintains HRSA-recognized FQHC status and PHS-deemed malpractice status, pursued HRSA competitive awards, and partnered with regional health systems to expand training and residency opportunities that support care for the medically underserved.
