About PROJECT STILL I RISE INC

Project Still I Rise Inc. (PSIR) is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2002 that delivers youth empowerment, academic enrichment, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and STEM programming for students in underserved communities. PSIR runs signature initiatives including the Urban STEM Initiative, Books & Banking, Urban Scholars, and the National Youth Chamber of Commerce, and partners with corporate and community organizations to provide experiential learning, mentorship, and seed investments for youth entrepreneurs. In recent years (2023–2025) PSIR has scaled program activity through partnerships and cohorts — notable examples include a 2023 financial-education effort gifting seed Roth IRA and stock investments to youth participants and a multi-session partnership with Google (Grow with Google) to teach Google Workspace and AI fundamentals to students and young entrepreneurs.

Notable achievements

Youth financial seed-investment program

Launched a multi-tiered financial-education initiative (Gift of Home Ownership & Gift of Stock, Tech, and Entrepreneurship) that provided custodial Roth IRA seed funding and stock-investing experiences to students; the program received corporate underwriting to place initial seed investments for participants.

Partnership with Google (Grow with Google)

Ran a multi-session Grow with Google workshop series (Dec 2023 onward) teaching Google Workspace, website-building, and AI ideation tools to elementary and middle-school students and supporting youth entrepreneurs with digital skill-building.

National Youth Chamber of Commerce and entrepreneurship cohorts

Established the National Youth Chamber of Commerce and delivered cohort-based entrepreneurship training and public symposiums (including events held at Comerica Business HQ), giving youth hands-on business experience, mentorship, and marketplace exposure.
