About NATIONAL GRAZING LANDS COALITION

The National Grazing Lands Coalition (NatGLC) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivers technical assistance, education, research, and partnership-building to support sustainable grazing land stewardship on private and public lands. NatGLC runs nationwide programs and a network of state coalitions and regional staff to connect producers, conservation partners, agencies, and communities with practical tools, funding opportunities, and training that improve soil health, wildlife habitat, and ranch viability. In recent years NatGLC has expanded producer-facing programs (for example Legacy Landscapes) and secured cooperative agreement funding to scale technical assistance, youth outreach, and producer resources across multiple states.

Notable achievements

Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative (GLCI) Awards (2024)

NatGLC secured multi‑million dollar cooperative agreement funding through USDA/GLCI in 2024 to expand producer technical assistance, develop youth-focused grazing resources, host webinars and field events, and create a national technical hotline for producers.

Legacy Landscapes Program Launch & Implementation

Launched Legacy Landscapes to provide one‑on‑one technical assistance, marketing support, and financial incentives for producers; the program offers participating producers access to up to roughly $70,000 in combined implementation, recordkeeping, and marketing support and is planned through 2028.

Expanded National Education & Resource Library

Scaled an on‑demand education program (webinars, YouTube series, grazing library and grazing schools) and hosted the National Grazing Lands Conference and regional trainings to deliver peer‑to‑peer learning and applied grazing tools to land managers across the U.S.
