About IN THE CITY FOR GOOD

In The City For Good (ITCFG) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Dallas, Texas, focused on strengthening community-based organizations in South Dallas — particularly the Fair Park area — by providing financial support, technical assistance, volunteer mobilization, and board-level guidance. ITCFG operates as a facilitator and partner rather than a large direct-service operator: it leverages relationships with local churches, YMCAs, recovery ministries and neighborhood programs to expand hunger-relief, early childhood education, and substance-recovery services. Over the last few years the organization has continued annual IRS filings and sustained partnerships with local institutions and foundations while maintaining active fundraising and program-support work under the leadership of President & CEO Terry Kittleson.

Notable achievements

Funded and built a recovery residence

Raised nearly $400,000 to construct a recovery facility (a multi‑bed home) used by Outcry In The Barrio to house and reintegrate men recovering from substance addiction; ITCFG has provided ongoing operational support to that program.

Expanded early childhood capacity (Park South YMCA)

Partnered with local developers and community organizations to renovate and expand space used by Park South YMCA, enabling additional preschool capacity and classroom improvements for children in South Dallas.

Sustained summer learning and youth support

Provided funding, volunteers and program support for Circle of Support and other neighborhood education efforts, supporting summer learning programs that have served several hundred children in the South Dallas area.
