About Kids in Need of Development, Education & Relief (KinderUSA)

Kids in Need of Development, Education & Relief (KinderUSA) is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivers development and emergency-relief programs for children and families in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and other crisis-affected communities. The organization focuses on nutrition and health, temporary learning spaces and education programs, psychosocial support, and rapid emergency distributions. KinderUSA operates through local partnerships on the ground and through targeted programs such as mobile schools, summer camps, food and hygiene distributions, and livelihood support for vulnerable households. In recent years the organization has scaled emergency responses in Gaza while continuing year-round education and development work in the region.

Large-scale Gaza emergency distributions (2023–2024)

Conducted sustained emergency relief in Gaza that included food parcels, hot meals, filtered water and hygiene kits; recent reporting notes distributions reaching thousands of displaced families (including reports of delivering fresh dates and filtered water to over 7,500 internally displaced families and multiple food-parcel distributions to hundreds of families in early 2024).

Summer camps & learning continuity (2021–2022)

Ran summer-camp and education programs that reached over 5,000 children, and implemented temporary learning spaces, mobile-school initiatives and after-school tutoring to support learning continuity and psychosocial recovery for children affected by conflict.

Local procurement and livelihoods support

Integrated local economic support into relief programming by sourcing food locally and creating paid opportunities for community members; documented programs employed local women and purchased from small-scale farmers as part of nutrition and Ramadan food projects.
