About Golden Thread Productions

Founded in 1996 and based in San Francisco, Golden Thread Productions produces mainstage plays, commissions and develops new work, and engages young audiences with storytelling rooted in Middle Eastern cultures and diasporic experiences. The company operates year-round development programs (including the New Threads staged-reading series), touring youth programming, and festival programming; in recent years it has launched a 30th-anniversary campaign (Golden30), presented a Festival of Palestinian Art, and continued workshops and commissions supported by institutional funders.
