About Colorado Succeeds

Colorado Succeeds is a Denver-based nonprofit coalition of business leaders that applies private-sector expertise, influence, and capital to improve education-to-employment outcomes across the state. The organization convenes employers, designs employer-led talent strategies, and advocates policy changes so learners graduate with meaningful credentials, college credit, and work-based learning opportunities.

In the past 2–3 years Colorado Succeeds has moved from research and policy design into implementation and state-level advocacy: publishing annual impact reports, launching statewide employer collaboratives and talent tools, and advancing legislative and ballot efforts to modernize Colorado’s higher education and workforce systems and expand skills training access for thousands of Coloradans.

Notable achievements

State policy modernization

Played a leading role in advancing a package of state reforms enacted in 2025–2026 to modernize Colorado’s higher education and workforce systems, including updating funding and accountability structures to better align postsecondary incentives with labor-market outcomes.

Skilled Workers & Trades Fund initiative

Designed and launched a statewide ballot initiative to create a Skilled Workers & Trades Fund that would provide recurring, voter-approved investment in short-term job skills training (targeting roughly 5,000 learners per year) using a pay-for-success model and scholarship support to reduce learner debt barriers.

Scaled employer-led talent strategy

Expanded employer-led collaboratives and launched statewide talent tools (including a Talent Strategy Hub and Homegrown Talent Coalition) to translate labor-market demand into high-quality career pathways, work-based learning, and regional hiring pipelines.
