Fort Bend County Women’s Center (FBWC) is a Richmond, Texas–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1980 that provides 24-hour crisis hotline services, emergency shelter, counselling, case management, legal advocacy, long-term housing support and children’s services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The organization is the primary provider of emergency shelter and a county crisis hotline in Fort Bend County and operates comprehensive wrap-around services designed to help survivors achieve safety and self-sufficiency.
In recent years FBWC has scaled services substantially and reports thousands of survivors and children served annually, large program-level operating expenses supporting shelter, mental health and housing programs, and significant community partnerships and public funding to sustain operations and housing expansions. The organization maintains audited financial statements and a multi-million-dollar program budget and asset base to support shelter and long-term housing initiatives for survivors in the county.
