About NORTHWEST ASSISTANCE MINISTRIES

Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) is a long-established, multi-program social service agency based in northwest Harris County (Houston), Texas. NAM delivers coordinated emergency assistance, food distribution, housing and rental support, behavioral health services, senior and veterans programs, family violence services, and workforce/education supports across a broad service area. NAM operates a network of programs (including a food pantry and nutrition center, housing and utility assistance, a Family Violence Center, a Behavioral Health Center, senior Meals on Wheels and veteran services) and partners with local systems such as the Houston Food Bank and United Way of Greater Houston to serve low-income and at-risk residents in the region.
