About KATY CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) is a faith-rooted social services nonprofit serving Katy and the greater West Houston area. KCM operates four core programs: a Food Center, Social Services (including emergency financial assistance and benefits navigation), a Crisis Center (housing Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault services), and two resale stores that fund operations and provide client vouchers. KCM provides round-the-clock crisis hotlines and a wide set of subprograms (food distribution, school-supply drives, counseling, support groups, veterans assistance and disaster relief) and explicitly serves survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, low-income families, children and seniors, and veterans. In recent years KCM has published annual impact reports and audited financial statements and continues to operate donor-facing programs and volunteer opportunities.

Completed and transitioned Food Pantry, Social Services and Administration into a new central facility, enabling expanded client services and program coordination.

High program scale (2022)

Provided services to thousands of local households in a single year (reported 7,388 unduplicated families served in 2022) through food distribution, emergency assistance and crisis services.

Resale stores as sustained funding source

KCM Resale Stores generated over $1.3 million in funding and issued vouchers that directly assist client families with needed clothing and household items.
