About FOUNDATION FOR TEEN HEALTH

The Foundation for Teen Health is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) established in 1990 to raise funds and awareness for the Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinics and allied community programs serving adolescents and young adults. The foundation supports a network of teen clinics that provide free primary, reproductive, and mental health services and related social supports for young people ages 13–24. The foundation focuses on sustaining clinic operations, workforce-development programming (Project Ascend) that connects opportunity youth to health-care careers, and community outreach/fundraising events. Research and public records confirm the organization's EIN (76-0243612) and active tax-exempt status; recent tax filings and public profiles show ongoing fundraising, program support, and operating activity through 2023–2024.

Notable achievements

Sustained clinic support

Project Ascend workforce outcomes

Underwrites and supports Project Ascend, a career-preparation initiative for 18–24 year olds entering health-care training; program alumni have moved into employment at Ben Taub Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, retail pharmacy and doctors’ offices.

Consistent community fundraising

Runs repeat donor and community events (Top Golf/’Hope for the Future’ family events and an annual luncheon) that raise operating and scholarship funds targeted to clinic programs and Project Ascend stipends.
