About ENERGY EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Energy Education Foundation (EEF) is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs public-facing energy education programs, a hands-on museum, and industry-facing awards and convenings to connect students, educators, and energy professionals.
EEF operates the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig Museum & Education Center and delivers curriculum and outreach (including EnergyXP and mobile learning units) to K–12 students and teachers, partnering with major energy companies and local school systems to expand STEM access and workforce pathways.

Operates Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig Museum
Maintains and programs the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig Museum & Education Center (a retired drilling rig converted to a museum), which serves large numbers of public visitors and school groups and functions as a center for hands-on energy learning.
K–12 STEM curriculum and outreach (EnergyXP & MOLU)
Developed EnergyXP (16 hands-on and digital STEM activities) and a Mobile Oilfield Learning Unit (MOLU) that together deliver in-class and field-trip programming, reaching tens of thousands of students annually through school visits, teacher workshops, traveling trunks, and other outreach.
Industry partnerships and flagship events
Sustains long-term partnerships with major energy companies and industry foundations and hosts annual convenings and awards (including a high-profile gala) to raise funds and create networking and professional-development opportunities that support education programming.
