TREES OF HOPE

Trees of Hope is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) fundraising organization that exists solely to support children’s programs operated by Star of Hope, Houston’s largest mission for the homeless. The organization conducts annual fundraising, membership and volunteer-driven activities (including shoe, back-to-school, holiday toy, Moms Matter and summer camp support) and directs net proceeds to the Children’s Critical Care Fund. Since its founding in 1990, Trees of Hope has donated consistently to Star of Hope (more than $12.2 million in cumulative giving reported on the organization’s site) and operates as a small staff/volunteer charity that leverages events and community support to deliver in-kind items and direct financial grants. Trees of Hope remains an active, donor-facing charity with a public website, current annual reports and Form 990 filings. In recent years the organization has shown steady operating scale (reported 2024 revenue of roughly $450k with expenses under $400k) and continued program impact—providing hundreds of pairs of shoes, gift bags and toys, thousands of snacks, and six-figure annual donations to Star of Hope’s children’s services in 2024–2025.
